Miguel Dejesus
Mailroom Supervisor

Biography

I have served the Westfield State University community since December 6, 1998, as a Mailroom Supervisor, currently oversee mailroom operations. My role involves managing all aspects of campus mailroom functions, including mail and package handling, customer service, financial reporting, bulk mail processing, and supervising staff. I am responsible for maintaining efficient operations and continuously improving services, such as implementing the Notifii program and upgrading systems for better package tracking and customer communication.

In addition to my mailroom-supervising career, I am retiring after 20 years of service in the U.S. Air Force, where I held the rank of MSgt. I have completed five deployments, with assignments in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Qatar, and have gained extensive experience in air transportation, managing cargo and passenger operations for military aircraft. I currently serve as the NCOIC of the Air Freight and Special Handling section at Westover ARB, in Chicopee, MA.

My military career has afforded me the opportunity to travel the world, with training assignments in Europe, Asia, and various locations across the U.S. As a born Puerto Rican raised in New York City, I now live in Springfield, MA and bring a wealth of experience in logistics, customer service, and management to my role at Westfield State.
