Welcome to the Westfield State University Community – Message From the Dean of Students

We are thrilled to welcome you to Westfield State University. Each of you brings rich and varied experiences to this community, and during your time here, those experiences will grow into shared moments of friendship, discovery, and personal and academic enrichment. We are confident that your time at Westfield will shape you in meaningful ways, preparing you for the opportunities ahead.

At Westfield, we are committed to providing an environment that supports your academic pursuits, personal goals, and overall well-being. This commitment is grounded in a shared understanding: building a strong and inclusive community requires the active participation of every member. As a student, you play a vital role in creating a sense of belonging, upholding our values, caring for one another, promoting well-being, and engaging in dialogue with respect and integrity.

Being part of a community is a privilege that requires ongoing practice, reflection, and growth. With membership in this community come both rights and responsibilities.
